Frequently there will be a cash balance in a school system fund which, though allocated to a specific use, is temporarily not needed. This is particularly true of Building Fund money. This money will be used as building projects are completed but often is not required for several months.
It is the policy of the Board that any temporary balance in a school fund which will remain unexpended for a reasonable period shall be invested as permitted by law.
