The employee's personnel file may be reviewed by the following persons:
The superintendent;
The employee's principal or department director;
The system-appointed lawyer with authorization of the superintendent;
The deputy superintendent, assistant superintendent of curriculum &
accountability, chief financial officer, chief of operations.
Access by others will be determined by current law.
Personnel Department employees by nature of their assignment have access to these records, but have the responsibility to maintain privacy of all materials within the files.
Professional employees may request to see their files at any time during the regular work day of the Shelby County Board of Education.
