In cases of severe weather where advanced notice is given that schools will not be in session, classified employees (with the exception of twelve month plant managers will not report for work. In such cases, the payroll calendars will be adjusted by reducing the lost day from the employee's entitlement during that pay period.
When the lost day is made up, the payroll calendar will be adjusted to include the number of hours worked within the payroll period that the make-up occurs.
In cases where severe weather conditions cause children to be dismissed during the regular school hours, all classified employees will be expected to work their normal schedule of hours.
This policy is adopted since the duties that are normally performed by the classified employees are not required except on days when the students are present.
