STUDENT CONDUCT

All student behavior should be based on respect and consideration for the rights of others.

Students shall have the right to receive annually at the opening of school, a publication listing the rules and regulations of the system to which they are subject.

Additional local school rules will be developed cooperatively by the faculty and students, approved by the administration, and filed with the Board. Any restrictions on student behavior must be concerned with speech or action which disrupts the work of the school or interferes with the rights of other students. Such local school rules shall be published and made available to students and are to be posted in conspicuous places within each school throughout the school year.

Students have the responsibility to know and respect the rules and regulations of the school. Students have the further responsibility to behave in a manner appropriate to good citizenship everywhere.
