Serves as an instructional leader in developing and implementing appropriate curriculum for mathematics, 6-12.

Coordinate and conduct professional growth program, workshops, and other inservice activities in mathematics.

Provides assistance to all professional personnel regarding 6-12 mathematics curriculum and instructional programs.

Assists with an ongoing orientation of new teachers in mathematics.

Assists teachers in the development and implementation of effective teaching strategies and best practices.

Assists teachers, principals, and other personnel with the selection and utilization of instructional material, equipment and textbooks.

Co-coordinator of the Shelby Scholars Summer Institute (SSSI) - Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) program.

Assist International Baccalaureate high schools with the coordination of the diploma program at the district level.
