Grandparent's Day - Please join us on Friday, September 11th as we take this opportunity to spend some time with our wonderful BCS Wildcat grandparents. We will begin with breakfast in our cafeteria followed by a program in the gymnasium.
Open House - Parents, family and friends are invited to join us on Tuesday, October 27th for our annual Open House from 5:00-7:00 P.M. PTA dinner will at 6 P.M.
Red Ribbon Week - Barret's Chapel School will join forces with other schools across the nation as we observe Red Ribbon Week October 26th-30th. Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign. Please refer to your BCS calendar for the daily themes. Parents are invited to join us on Friday, October 30th for our annual Red Ribbon Balloon Release at 1:30 P.M.
Kindergarten Storybook Parade - Everyone loves a parade! Please join us on Friday, October 30th as our Kindergarten WILDCATS march and parade through the hall of BCS dressed as their favorite storybook character. Parade starts promptly at 8:45 A.M.
Spelling Bee - Please join us on Thursday, November 19th as representatives from our 3rd - 5th grade participate in our annual Spelling Bee. This event is scheduled to begin at 9:00 A.M. and will take place in the Wildcat Cafe'.
American Education Week - This week (November 16th-20th), observed since 1921, spotlights the importance of providing every child in America with a quality public education from kindergarten through college and the need for everyone to do his or her part in making public schools great. Please refer to your BCS calendar for the daily themes.
Bear Day - Monday, November 23rd - This is an exciting day for our kindergarten and 1st grade students. Each child is allowed to bring their favorite teddy bear or plush toy to school for a day of reading. Parents are asked to volunteer to read to their child's class.
Kindergarten Animal Parade - Please join us on Tuesday, November 24th as our Kindergarten WILDCATS march the halls of BCS in their alphabet animal costume. Parade starts promptly at 8:30 A.M.
2nd Grade Vocabulary Parade - Please join us on Tuesday, November 24th as our 2nd grade students creatively dress to represent ADJECTIVES and NOUNS.
Holiday Play - LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION ... Please join us for our annual holiday play on Tuesday, December 8th at 6:30 P.M. in the BCS Gymnasium. It is holiday entertainment for the entire family. Copies of this performance will be available on DVD for $10.00/ cash only.
Geography Bee - Please join us on Thursday, January 14th as representatives from our 4th and 5th grade classes participate in our annual Geography Bee. This event is scheduled to begin at 9:00 A.M. and will take place in the Wildcat Cafe'.
100th Day of School - Students in K - 5th grade will spend the day counting and celebrating the 100th day of school on Wednesday, January 27th.
101 Dalmatian Day - Kindergarten students will celebrate the 101st day of school by dressing as cute dalmatian puppies on Thursday, January 28th.
Read Across America Week - NEA's Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program February 29th through March 4th. It is a call for every child in every community to celebrate reading.
Career Day - Friday, January 22nd - Career Day is a perfect opportunity for kids to explore their dreams and to understand that all lines of work bring value to the community. If you would like to participate in our annual Career Day, please contact our guidance counselor, Susan Green
Field Day - If you ask a WILDCAT which is their favorite day of school, FIELD DAY, will most likely be their answer. Join us on Friday, May 15th as all WILDCATS compete in athletic competitions with their fellow classmates. Middle School - Monday, May 16th; Elementary - Friday, May 20th
K Magical Me - Wednesday, May 18th - Parents, family and friends are invited to join our Kindergarten WILDCATS as they perform the play "Magical Me." The performance will begin at 6:30 P.M. in the BCS Gymnasium. Copies of this performance will be available on DVD for $10.00/ cash only.
Honor's Programs (1st semester & 2nd Semester) - Students at Barret's Chapel School will be recognized for their academic achievements twice during the school year.
Honors' Programs for the 1st semester - Monday, January 25th for Kindergarten & 1st grade, January 26th for 2nd & 3rd grade, and January 27th for 4th & 5th grade, and January 29th for 6th, 7th & 8th grade. There programs will take place in the BCS Gymnasium and will begin at 8:45 A.M.
Honors' Programs for the 2nd semester - May 18th for Kindergarten; May 19th for 1st & 2nd grade; May 23rd for 3rd & 4th grade; May 25th for 5th grade and May 24th for 6th & 7th. 8th grade graduation will be on May 26th at 9:00 A.M.
