PTA President's Message Hello Chimneyrock parents! My name is Marci Hensley, and I am the incoming president for the Chimneyrock PTA for the 2007-2008 school year. Chimneyrock PTA has a history of excellent participation, and we look forward to another year of supporting our school and watching our children develop academically and socially. It is so fulfilling to be a part of their growth, and active participation in your PTA is a great way to experience first hand the development of your child. How can you help? As a PTA member there are many ways for you to get involved in your child's scholastic activities. For example, attend monthly meetings with the PTA to get updates on key activities and gather general information throughout the school year, participate in annual fund raising activities, and serve on the PTA board. Your time and services are always appreciated, and I look forward to another great year at Chimneyrock Elementary! Objectives of the PTA To Promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and the place of worship. To Raise the standards of home life To Secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth. To Bring into closer relation the home and the school that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of the child. To Develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
