                     We believe:

1.     Each student is a valued individual with unique needs.  Students learn best when actively engaged in research-based instruction which promotes the highest level of individual proficiency.  

2.     Communication and involvement among parents, teachers, and other stakeholders support a positive school environment. 

3.     Our school provides students with a safe, nurturing environment that promotes independence and responsibility.  

4.     Culture awareness and acceptance increase students’ understanding of diverse people and cultures.  

5.     We believe that school attendance is an important factor in a child’s academic progress. Students should be at school everyday to get the full value of their education.  

6.     Integration and utilization of technology prepare students to succeed in our global society.  

7.     Rivercrest Elementary School adheres to all Shelby County, State of Tennessee, and United States Federal Government policies.
