Welcome Back to School
Hello to Arlington High School Tiger parents and students
The AHS PTSA is very excited about the 2006-2007 school year. We are sponsoring the first dance of the year on Friday August 25th in the school’s rotunda. The dance will be after the first home varsity football game against FACS. Admission to the dance is an AHS PTSA membership and the cost is only $10. (Most high school dances cost twice that amount, and student will have their PTSA membership for other uses throughout the year!)
PTSA Activities
The AHS PTSA will also sponsor
a spaghetti dinner and Silent Auction at Open House on Tuesday, August 29th.
It is the night you will meet your
AHS student’s
teachers. The spaghetti dinner will be in the schools cafeteria from
5:15 - 6:30 PM. Advance tickets are $5.00.
The menu includes spaghetti, green beans, bread, homemade dessert and
a beverage. Tickets are available at registration, you may send the money
to school by
your student, tickets will be sold during lunch Aug.23-25 in the cafeteria.
You will be able to leave work come directly to the school and your family can have a great dinner with no fuss for you. The tickets will cost $6.00 at the door the night of the event. Additionally, the PTSA will sponsor a Silent Auction in the school library during Open House.
If you or your employer would be willing to make a donation to the Silent Auction please contact someone on the PTSA Board of Managers (listed below). Each member of the faculty will select a theme and collect items for a basket that will be part of the auction. If your student asks for your help with this project, remember…all proceeds from the Silent Auction are given back to the school. We appreciate your support and look forward to a wonderful year at Arlington High School.
