Founded in 1968, with 3,204 schools in 140 countries, the IB develops and offers three challenging programs to over 923,000 students aged 3 to 19 years. Bolton High School offers the IB Diploma Program which is a challenging and rigorous two-year curriculum that occurs during the  11th and 12th grade years.  Bolton High also strives to adequately prepare IB candidates during the 9th and 10th grade years within Bolton’s pre-IB program.  Bolton High’s pre-IB program is open to any student in Shelby County successfully meeting the application requirements.  The application process is open through the student’s sophomore year but it is advisable each student pursuing an IB diploma begins taking pre-IB courses beginning in the 9th grade.
