Purpose: The purpose of the newspaper is to teach journalism as as English elective. At a minimum, the paper is published in five issues. Students are encouraged to explore the current events of Bolton High, the Memphis area, Tennessee, and the world as a whole while learning journalistic techniques, interviewing techniques, and story writing. The staff meets as a class during the school day.

Requirements: The students are hand-selected by Mr. Robinson. In February of each year, students interested in being on staff for the following year fill out an application. Students' attendance, GPA, recommendations, attitude, and other school commitments are taken into consideration.
