ACCOUNTING I BE351 GRADES 10,
11, 12
Accounting I is designed to introduce students to the basic
principles of accounting. Content focuses on accounting
methods for a sole proprietorship, a partnership, and
corporation. Course work includes analyzing business
transactions, recording in journals, posting to ledgers, and
preparing worksheets and financial statements. Two business
simulations are completed during the year, one involving a
partnership, the other a corporation.
PREREQUISITES - Algebra I Credit 1
ACCOUNTING II BE 451 GRADES 11,
12
ACCOUNTING II is a second year course designed for students
who have successfully completed Accounting I. Emphasis is
placed on forms of business ownership and on managerial and
cost accounting. Accounting principles for departmentalized,
merchandising, and manufacturing companies are presented.
End-of-fiscal-period work is taught for each type of
business organization. Two business simulations are
completed during the year. One set provides practical
experience in completing the accounting cycle for a
partnership.

AMERICAN BUSINESS/LEGAL SYSTEM
BE242 GRADES 11, 12
AMERICAN BUSINESS/LEGAL SYSTEM is designed to provide
students with an understanding of the legal framework in
which American business functions. The goal of the course is
to give students an understanding of the rights of citizens
and rights of business with respect to the free enterprise
system, the court system and the American political
system.
PREREQUISITE - Currently enrolled in U.S. History or Credit
1/2 already received a credit in U.S.
History
INTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS BE252
GRADES 10, 11, 12
iNTRODUCTION TO BUSINESS is designed to provide students
with the basic understanding needed for intelligent
interpretation of the needs of consumers for goods and
services. Course content involves money and banking,
budgeting, saving, credit, insurance, investments,
transportation and communication facilities, role of
government, managment, labor and union.
PREREQUISITES - None Credit 1/2
INTRODUCTION TO FINANCE BE322
GRADES 11, 12
INTRODUCTION TO FINANCE is a course designed to equip
students with basic recording skills common to jobs in
business, improve students' ability to perform basic
arithmetic functions quickly and accurately.
