HEALTH SCIENCE EDUCATION HS151
Grades 9-10
This course will include basic health care information on
services/products related to the health of people or
animals. Subject matter will include career choices, skill
development, and application of health concepts relative to
becoming a health care professional.
PREREQUISITES - None; Credit 1
HEALTH MANAGEMENT HS231 Grades
10,11,12
The student will evaluate methods of documenting an
individual care plan in the home, hospital, long-term care,
outpatient and other health care facilities. The
documentation could include activities such as medical
records, health management, risk management, unit
coordinator, computer operator, health insurance, and
doctor's, dentist's and vet's offices.
PREREQUISITES - None Credit-1
MEDICAL THERAPEUTICS HS241
Grades 11,12
The student will evaluate the ways therapeutic medicine
is used to focus on direct patient care. This could include
nursing, medicine, psychotherapy, and a multitude of other
allied health careers.
PREREQUISITES - None Credit-1
MEDICAL DIAGNOSTICS HS251
Grades 10,11,12
The student will learn the ways diagnostic medicine
creates a picture of an individual's health at a single
point in time. This could include but is not limited to
cardiology, imaging, medical laboratory, radiology, and
other forms of diagnostic medicine.
PREREQUISITES - Biology and Chemistry; Credit 1
