I hope your student had a great 1st 9 weeks! Our Faculty and
Principal Honor Roll list was amazing – over 800 students! The
students received certificates and coupons as our expression of
appreciation for their hard work!
The students have all been given an ACT Online username and password
(from English teachers). The Student Government Association purchased
this service! Students may go online from home and take a practice
test. They will receive feedback on objectives to work on in order
to improve their scores. Also, the ACT prep sessions are in full
swing in the afternoons in the new computer lab. Tuesday, Wednesday,
and Thursday afternoons provide a time for students to work on
their ACT skills! The new Compass ACT program will be in use soon
in that lab. This program is diagnostic and prescriptive. Students
will receive a projected score and areas to work on to improve.
This program also provides tutorials for students to work in areas
in which they need to improve. This can only be accessed via the
computer lab at this time.

· The Knowledge Bowl team had a great first match! They beat Kingsbury

· The Battle of the Brains is coming up December 3. Stay tuned
for results in the competition between GHS and HHS, which is supported
by the Germantown Education Commission.
· Volleyball made it to State, and they finished in the final
four!
· Varsity Football finished the season with a victory against
Southwind, 28-0!

We are so proud of all of these students and their faculty sponsors/coaches
- and we appreciate the parental support of all the various programs
here. We couldn’t do it without great parents!
