MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Southwind High School is to value, challenge, and educate students in a positive, safe environment while developing them into productive citizens in a diverse and changing society.


STATEMENTS OF BELIEF

  2. ★Positive relationships and mutual respect between students and staff build self-esteem.

  3. ★Students are the focus of all educational opportunities and extra-curricular activities.

  4. ★High expectations are critical to success.

  5. ★Opportunities exist for staff members to collaborate and to develop and learn instructional strategies and assessments for student achievement and excellence.

  6. ★The needs of all students are valued and met to insure that they mature physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

  7. ★A physically and emotionally safe and supportive environment is essential to the educational process.

  8. ★Recognition of student and staff achievement promotes excellence.

  9. ★Parents, community, and school staff support the mission statement and collaborate to insure its implementation.
