  Dexter Middle School
    Dexter Middle School opened in August, 2002 with students in grades 5-8. The one-story school building has the capacity for 900 students with fifty-two (52) teaching stations, which include two (2) computer labs, two (2) science labs, art and music classrooms, plus a gymnasium. Eight (8) classrooms have been provided for students with special needs.
A school-wide computer data network is provided. Every instructional space has internet access.
  The library and administrative offices are located in the center of the building to provide easy access for students and parents. The library has an internet research station and utilizes a computer based check-out/check-in system. The cafeteria includes a platform area for programs and performances.
   
Dexter Middle is located in East Shelby County.      
From I-40:
Take I-40 to Appling Road south.
Continue south on Appling Road to Dexter Road.
Turn right (west) on Dexter Road until you come to Charles Bryan Road.
Turn left (south) onto Charles Bryan Road. The school parking lot should be on your right.

From Germantown Parkway:
Turn west on Dexter Road and continue on Dexter until you come to Charles Bryan Road.
Turn left (south) onto Charles Bryan Road. The school parking lot should be on your right.
