Mission Statement
The faculty and staff of Elmore Park Middle School recognize the diverse
qualities, skills, and needs of each student and seek to provide opportunities for all students to develop intellectually, socially, and physically to their greatest potential. Our mission is to help students become more independent thinkers and learners who know how to evaluate information and apply concepts and skills to solve real-world problems.
Beliefs
Students learn best when a variety of teaching and instructional strategies are incorporated to meet their various learning styles.
Student achievement and growth are most accurately evaluated through a variety of assessments which provide each student opportunities to demonstrate what they know.
Students learn best when there are high expectations for learning, when there is a challenging curriculum, and when they are engaged in meaningful learning opportunities.
Students learn best in a safe, well-disciplined learning environment that is maintained through effective and reasonable school policies and procedures.
Students develop character, responsibility, decision-making skills, and an enhanced self-image through positive interactions and relationships with other students, faculty, and an involved school community of parents,businesses, and civic leaders.
Students develop skillsfor life by learning to utilize technology, communicating effectively with others,cultivating a healthy lifestyle, and understanding the value of becoming a lifelong learner.
