All 6th grade students are expected to have the following supplies.

1. Four 1/2-inch to 1-inch binders

2. Wide ruled loose leaf notebook paper

3. Pen/Pencil pouch that will go in the binder

4. Ten tab dividers

5. One two-pocket folder with brads

6. Two spiral Notebooks

7. Black/blue/red ball point pens

8. Calculator (TI30XIIS)**

9. Number 2 pencils

10. Colored pencils

11. One box of Kleenex per semester

12. Combination or key lock for locker

13. Composition Notebook (wide ruled) Required for Science Lab

14. Houston Middle Agenda Book *

 

*Purchase at school during registration or during the first week of school, cost $7.00.

** We are recommending the use of the above Texas Instruments calculators because staff has been trained in the use of these. Students are not required to purchase these specifically, but the teacher may not be able to provide assistance/instruction on other brands.

Recommended Supplies for Fine Art Classes:

Art: In order to purchase items necessary for art projects, we are requesting a $10.00 fee from each student enrolled in the art program. This will enable us to order the items in bulk at a reduced rate and save you time and money. Checks should be made payable to Houston Middle School.

Band: Band Students will have a fee of $50.00. This money will go to purchase uniforms, method books, registration fees and other miscellaneous materials.

Vocal Music: Three-Ring binder

Physical Education: Appropriate attire worn on PE days. The PE department will sell PE uniforms to those that are interested.
