FROM
THE SFMS BAND TREASURER
At the
September parent meetings, payment of all band fees and instrument fees
was requested by October 15. Realizing
that this newsletter is being distributed on October 14, the deadline has been
extended to October
21. Thanks to all those who have
already paid their fees; however, many fees are still outstanding. Being able to get all fees in before
money begins to come in for uniforms and the Fruit Sale will be very helpful. Please use the
Band Fee Payment Slip below when remitting fees. Those wishing to use their Kroger account balance to pay
fees must request this via the Payment Slip. Instrument fees were listed in the September issue of ³In
Tune², except for the Percussion maintenance fee which was inadvertently omitted. This fee of $25 is due from all 7th
and 8th grade percussion students.
Financial
Procedure Reminders:
Make all checks payable to ³SFMS Band Boosters².
All payments should be inside an envelope clearly
identified with the student¹s name and the purpose of the payment, either on
the outside of the envelope or by a note or turn-in slip enclosed.
Payments should be submitted in one of the following
ways: a) deposited in the Band Mailbox located in the Band room; b) mailed
to: SFMS Band Boosters, c/o Julia
Horne, Treasurer, 3490 Beaver Run Drive, Collierville, TN 38017 (allow sufficient mailing time to
meet any deadlines); or c) in accordance with any special instructions given
for fundraisers or special events.
Payments should NEVER be handed to Mr. Croft, be placed
in his mailbox in the teachers¹ lounge, or be placed on his desk. Payments should NOT be mailed to the
school or turned in to homeroom teachers.
Questions regarding band fees or other financial matters
may be directed to Julia Horne, Treasurer, 854-8847. Questions regarding Kroger cards may be directed to Della
Witherspoon, 853-9806.
Students planning to audition for the All West Band will need to turn
in a contract to Mr. Croft by November 3. Contracts will be available in class
beginning Monday October 17. Band boosters will pay entry fees but students
must apply to audition through the contract from Mr. Croft. (Generally this is
for 7th or 8th grade students).
