Rubric for the Presentation
The following are the requirements for the three levels of assessment to keep in mind when preparing the final presentation.
Grade: 2.5-3 (A)  2-2.4 (B)   1.6-2 (C)   1-1.5 (D)

Level 3

  • Cards are well designed and readable.
  • Good use of graphics which are appropriate to the presentation
  • The two maps have the routes drawn accurately and have included the accurate mileage
  • A detailed and well-written explanation is with each map
  • City pairs are well defined
  • The explanation of findings shows excellent use of analytical skills
  • Reasons for using a mode of travel are logical, appropriate and show critical thinking skills
  • The city information is informative and creative

Level 2

  • Cards are a little difficult to read and cluttered in appearance
  • Limited or inappropriate graphics are used in the presentation
  • The two maps have inaccurate routes or inaccurate mileage
  • An incomplete explanation is given with the map(s)
  • The city pairs are not identified
  • The explanation of findings shows limited use of analytical skills
  • The reasons for using the mode of travel shows limited use of critical thinking skills or are illogical and inappropriate
  • The city information is creative or informative but not both

Level 1

  • Cards are very difficult to read and cluttered in appearance
  • No graphics are used in the presentation
  • The two maps have no routes drawn or no mileage stated
  • There is no explanation with each map
  • The city pairs are not identified
  • No analytical skills are evident in the explanation of the findings
  • The reasons for using the mode of travel show no critical thinking skills or appropriateness
  • The city information lacks both creativity and appropriate information.
