9th Grade Summer Coding Camp

Who: Current 9th Grade Shelby County Schools Board of Education Students (14 years of age or older by June 3, 2019) are invited to apply
What: 2019 Career Ready! Summer Internship Program for 9th Graders
When: June 3, 2019 – July 12, 2019
Why: Summer internships provide students with authentic experiences that will be invaluable to
their high school, college, and/or career paths. This is a 4-year commitment and students are expected to return every summer of their high school years to participate and learn new skills.
To be considered for a 2019 Career Ready! Summer Internship, students are required to have a 2018-19 GPA of 2.0 or above, a 95% or higher attendance rate, and at least satisfactory conduct (maximum of 2 N’s and no U’s) as of March 28, 2019. Interested Shelby County Schools Board of Education ninth grade students should complete and submit the attached application. The following supplementary information should be mailed or hand-delivered to Erma Carter or Bianca Bryant at 160 South Hollywood, Room 261, Memphis, TN 38112:
two completed recommendation forms
a copy of your current resume
a copy of your current report card
a copy of your current transcript
a copy of your non-expired driver’s license or state I.D.
a copy of your Social Security Card
a copy of your birth certificate
a copy of your non-expired insurance card
The deadline for submitting the application and turning in ALL attachments to our office is Friday, February 27, 2019. Late applications with all attachments will only be considered if space is available. Incomplete applications will NOT be considered.
