Full STEAM Ahead Gifted & Talented Summer Camp

The MSCS Full STEAM Ahead Gifted & Talented Summer Camp is designed to provide enrichment and academic acceleration to students who are already working above grade level. 

Through focused hands-on learning grounded in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM), students will explore different facets of their world and/or history and build new skills to enhance the foundational learning that takes place during the regular school year. 

In addition to experiential learning on site, students will be transported to the Discovery Park of America in Union City for a full day of programming that aligns with the camp’s thematic study.

Grades: 1-8 (rising)

Dates: June 6-10, 2022

Registration: April 6-22, 2022 (1,500 spaces available) on www.clue901.com

Location: W. H. Brewster Elementary School (grades 1-4, rising) and Middle College High School (grades 5-8, rising)

Eligibility Requirements: The MSCS Full STEAM Ahead Gifted & Talented Summer Camp is open to MSCS and non-MSCS students who meet certain criteria. 

Students enrolled in MSCS must meet one of these criteria:

• Must be currently enrolled in the local MSCS CLUE program or have a gifted IEP that meets the state criteria for Intellectual Giftedness
• Must have earned a Fastbridge benchmark score at the 90th national percentile or higher in reading or math
• Must have earned a TNReady score at the 90th percentile or higher in reading or math

Students who are not enrolled in MSCS must meet one of these criteria: 

• Must submit a copy of a TN gifted IEP that meets state criteria for Intellectual Giftedness
• Must submit official documentation of standardized test scores at the 90th national percentile or higher in reading or math
