For the first time ever, Shelby County Schools will offer a FREE learning academy for students in all grades during fall and spring break this year.
Modeled after the highly successful Summer Learning Academy, the new Fall Break Learning Academy will give thousands of students an enriching academic
experience October 14-18. The program will be offered at 19 schools across the District (see list below). Spaces are limited, so make sure you plan to apply early to have
the best chance to reserve a spot for your student.
ACADEMIES BEGIN OCTOBER 14.
Elementary and middle school sites will offer students a full day of stimulating literacy, math and STEM lessons and activities, as well as music, arts and other activities.
At the high school level, students will have half-days all week focusing on ACT prep activities, which is just in time for the October ACT testing date. Extended day learning is available
for elementary and middle school students, and meals are also FREE for all students.
