The purpose of the Division of Federal Programs, Grants & Compliance is to provide support for the acceleration of academic performance of all students while maintaining compliance with Federal, State, and District requirements.
Title IA-The purpose of Title I is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.
Title I A Neglected and Title I Delinquent- These programs provide supplemental services to eligible children in local institutions for neglected and delinquent children and youth in order to ensure that they have the same opportunity as other children to meet challenging state academic standards. Title I D funds provide services needed to make a successful transition from institutionalization to further schooling or employment and for programs to prevent at risk-students from dropping out of school.

Title IIA-Professional development activities that are high quality, sustained, intensive, and classroom focused in order to have a positive impact on classroom instruction for core academic subjects are provided for instructional staff in all SCS schools and participating private schools as well as district academic staff who serve schools.
Title III- Supplemental scientifically based language instruction to increase English proficiency and student academic achievement in support of English as a Second Language (ESL) services to English Learners will be provided to eligible SCS students as well as eligible students attending participating private schools.
