Gear Up Day!

Tuesday, August 2 at 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. & 4 p.m. - 6 p.m., ALL SCHOOLS 

Families meet the principal, teachers, and staff. Get computer access or help with registration/transfers. Schools will provide supply lists, dress code info, bus eligibility info, and homeroom assignments. Sign up for parent organization and before-/after/care (if available).

Get a Jump on the School Year!

Saturday, August 6 at 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Teaching and Learning Academy (2485 Union)

Get a JUMP on the upcoming school year by getting your child up to date on their immunizations! Join MSCS and the Shelby County Health Department for a FREE immunization event, freebies, and more at the TLA! Buses are available for pickup and drop-off in two-hour increments at 9:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. at these locations.

RUN 901: Back to School Unity Run

Saturday, August 6 at 8 a.m., Board of Education (160 S. Hollywood)

Families, teachers, staff, and community partners are invited to participate in a 2.2K family-fun run at the Board of Education. This event also will feature a community health fair and screenings.

Families are invited to celebrate the start of the school year at the MSCS Family Festival at the Board of Education. MSCS departments will be on site to support families with registration, immunizations, and bus safety to ensure that students are ready for the First Day of School (Monday, August 8).
