Shelby County Schools' Pre-K application/screening process is underway. Pre-K clas­­ses will be offered at select elementary schools across Memphis and Shelby County, as well as at partner locations. The Pre-K program is a tuition-free, proven school-readiness initiative designed to help children be adequately prepared for Kindergarten. The process ends July 31.

To enroll in an SCS Pre-K program, children must:

• Reside within Shelby County
• Turn four (4) years old on or before August 15
• Complete the screening process to determine eligibility

Pre-K information will be available in both English & Spanish at:

• Select schools where Pre-K classes are offered
• SCS Pre-K Office - 130 Flicker Street
• Community partner sites
