Hundreds Of Coats Donated To SCS Students During Operation: Warm Hearts #SCSNewsroom

Hundreds of Shelby County Schools students will be warm this winter thanks to generous donations to Operation: Warm Hearts.

Christmas carols filled the air during the district’s annual coat and winter clothing drive, which was held Friday at the Board of Education building. Students from Idlewild Elementary, Richland Elementary, Sea Isle Elementary, Crump Elementary, Overton High School and Cordova High School sang holiday songs for those who dropped off donations.

Boxes upon boxes were filled with new and gently used coats, hats, gloves and scarves to be distributed to schools to help students stay warm and stay in school as the temperatures drop.
