It might be close to Christmastime but Memphians aren’t talking "Silver Bells" after the 2016 BlueCross Bowl in Cookeville.  Instead, they’re bragging about golden balls after three Shelby County Schools teams won their state championship games in Cookeville, Tennessee.

Trezevant, the returning Class 2A champion, defeated Marion County 42-20 to take home the Bears' second straight state title.  In 4A action, East clinched the state crown with a 27-3 win over Knoxville Central, and Whitehaven High beat Oakland 12-9 to win the 6A state championship.

The District held a news conference Monday where each team talked about their big wins and answered questions from the media.
