Trezevant High School football player Tristian Jackson is making national headlines this week after showing a great amount of compassion for an injured opposing player during Saturday's 2A state championship game. 

According to the USA Today, Jackson felt a Marion County player fall on him then go limp. Despite his teammates telling him to get up, Jackson refused to move fearing the opposing player had been seriously injured. The Marion County player was unconscious and carted off the field.

Tristian Jackson spoke about the incident at a press conference on Monday: 

Trezevant went on to win the 2A championship 42-20 to take home the Bears' second straight state title.
