MSCS Celebrates: National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 8-12, 2023)

Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) is joining the nation to honor teachers! Teacher Appreciation Week (May 8-12, 2023) celebrates the tireless efforts and hard work teachers put in daily to help shape the future of our children and our society.

Teachers play an essential role in the lives of young learners. Their dedication and commitment to ensuring that each student receives the education and support they deserve to succeed is admirable. They inspire students to learn, grow, and become the best versions of themselves.

MSCS has planned several events to celebrate teachers for our outstanding educators. Parents, students, staff, and the entire community are showing their favorite teachers love and appreciation in unique ways. From social media shout-outs and events to special recognitions, our community is expressing its gratitude for the impact teachers make in students' lives.

Visit the District's main social media pages all week to see special thank you messages that MSCS students and families have submitted.

Be sure to show your participation and support for teachers by posting on social media using the hashtag #MemLovesTeachers.
