During winter break, some scholars may have a loss of learning due to the lack of routine. However, Lucy Elementary challenged its scholars to participate in an iReady Challenge. They were challenged to complete a minimum of 90 minutes on math and reading; 10 students completed the challenge.

Through this encouragement, Lucy made sure that scholars stayed active in their learning during winter break. In addition to keeping their skills sharp, the iReady Challenge provided students with a fun and interactive way to stay engaged with their academics. Many scholars found the challenge motivating, as it allowed them to work at their own pace while also tracking their progress. This personalized approach to learning ensured that students could continue to improve in both math and reading, even outside of the classroom environment.

The success of the challenge highlights the dedication of both the students and the staff at Lucy Elementary. By providing this opportunity, the school not only helped prevent the typical learning loss during winter break but also fostered a sense of achievement and responsibility in their students. As a result, the scholars who completed the challenge returned to school ready to build on their progress and tackle new academic goals.
