As the appointed leader of A. Maceo Walker Middle School, I am proud to serve all of its stakeholders--parents, teachers, students, and community members. Moreover, the entire A. Maceo Walker Middle School staff is committed to rigorous academic standards and accountability. All children have the ability to learn. Thus, at A. Maceo Walker Middle School, we encourage all students to work to their fullest potential and expect their personal best. We encourage you to visit the school and sit in your child’s classes, as we promote an Open Door Policy.

The faculty and staff of A. Maceo Walker Middle School work diligently to provide a high-quality education in an orderly, clean  environment. With your help, continuous feedback, and involvement, all students will master state mandated standards, read with comprehension, write with clarity, and compute with accuracy, while developing reasoning and problem-solving skills for college and career readiness.

In conclusion, I am proud to announce that A. Maceo Walker Middle was rated a Level 5 school by the Tennessee Department of Education for the 2017-18 academic school year. We are eagerly looking forward to being a Level 5 school during the 2018-19 academic school year. If I can be of assistance to you, please feel free to contact me at 901-416-1030 or email me at
