American Way Middle School is committed to collaborating with the entire community to bolster a shared vision that fosters an environment of high expectations where all members are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, equitable learning environment where ALL students are prepared, empowered, and challenged both academically and socially to become lifelong learners destined for success in college, career, and citizenship.

Our mission at American Way Middle School is to maximize the learning experience of every child by nurturing, guiding, and challenging students to reach their fullest potential and by setting high expectations as we promote leaders, create academic risk takers, and cultivate students’ unique talents and skills.

Commitment

Equity--Ensure every student has access to high quality instruction.

Achievement—Ensure access to rigorous material that challenges our students’ learning and allows them to move towards Destination 2025.

Growth—Ensure access to interventions and/or accelerations that challenge our students and closes achievement gaps for all students.

Learning—Ensure that teachers have access to high-quality training, professional development, and time for collaboration.

Engagement—Ensure the community is an integral part of the success of AWMS.
