Special Programs

Open House- Parents, family and friends are invited to join us on Tuesday, October 24th for our annual Open House from 5:00-7:00 P.M.  PTO Dinner will be at 6 P.M.

Red Ribbon Week-BCS will join forces with other schools across the nation as we observe Red Ribbon Week October 23rd-27th.  Red Ribbon week is an alcohol, tobacco and other drug and violence prevention and awareness campaign.  Please refer to the BCS calendar for the daily themes.  Parents are invited to join us on Friday, Oct 27th for our annual Red Ribbon balloon release at 1:30 P.M.

Kindergarten Storybook Parade- Everyone loves a parade! Please join us on Tuesday, Oct 31st as our Kindergarten Wildcats march and parade through the halls of BCS dressed as their favorite storybook character.  Parade begins promptly at 8:45 A.M.

Spelling Bee - Please join us on Thursday, November 16th as representatives from our 3rd - 5th grade participate in our annual Spelling Bee. This event is scheduled to begin at 9:00 A.M. and will take place in the Wildcat Cafe'.

American Education Week - This week (November 13th-17th), observed since 1921, spotlights the importance of providing every child in America with a quality public education from kindergarten through college and the need for everyone to do his or her part in making public schools great. Please refer to your BCS calendar for the daily themes.

Bear Day - Monday, November 20th - This is an exciting day for our kindergarten and 1st grade students. Each child is allowed to bring their favorite teddy bear or plush toy to school for a day of reading. Parents are asked to volunteer to read to their child's class.

Kindergarten Animal Parade - Please join us on Tuesday, November 21st as our Kindergarten WILDCATS march the halls of BCS in their alphabet animal costume. Parade starts promptly at 8:30 A.M.

2nd Grade Vocabulary Parade - Please join us on Tuesday, November 21st as our 2nd grade students creatively dress to represent ADJECTIVES and NOUNS.

Holiday Play - LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION ... Please join us for our annual holiday play on Tuesday, December 12th at 6:30 P.M. in the BCS Gymnasium. It is holiday entertainment for the entire family. Copies of this performance will be available on DVD for $10.00/ cash only.

Geography Bee - Please join us on Thursday, January 18th as representatives from our 4th and 5th grade classes participate in our annual Geography Bee. This event is scheduled to begin at 9:00 A.M. and will take place in the Wildcat Cafe'.

100th Day of School - Students in K - 5th grade will spend the day counting and celebrating the 100th day of school on Wednesday, January 24th.

101 Dalmatian Day - Kindergarten students will celebrate the 101st day of school by dressing as cute Dalmatian puppies on Thursday, January 25th.

Field Day - If you ask a WILDCAT which is their favorite day of school, FIELD DAY, will most likely be their answer. Join us as all WILDCATS compete in athletic competitions with their fellow classmates. 

Middle School - Friday, May 18th Elementary - Friday, May 11th

K Magical Me - Wednesday, May 18th - Parents, family and friends are invited to join our Kindergarten WILDCATS as they perform the play "Magical Me." The performance will begin at 6:30 P.M. in the BCS Gymnasium. Copies of this performance will be available on DVD for $10.00/ cash only.

Honor's Programs (1st semester & 2nd Semester)

Students at Barret's Chapel School will be recognized for their academic achievements twice during the school year.

Honors' Programs for the 1st semester - Monday, January 25th for Kindergarten (8:45) & 1st (10:00) grade, January 29th for 2nd (8:45) & 3rd (10:00) grade, and January 30th for 4th (8:45) & 5th (10:00)grade, and January 31st for 6th, 7th & 8th grade at 8:45. There programs will take place in the BCS Gymnasium.

Honors' Programs for the 2nd semester - May 15th for Kindergarten at 9:00 a.m.; May 16th for 1st (8:45) & 2nd (10:00) grade; May 17th for 3rd (8:45) & 4th (10:00) grade; May 23rd at 9:00 for 5th grade and May 22nd for 6th (8:45) & 7th (10:00). 8th grade graduation will be on May 21st at 9:00 A.M.
