The mission of Cordova Elementary School is to provide a safe and challenging environment that is committed to helping all of our students successfully achieve their maximum potential. Students will communicate with excellent reading and writing skills, apply mathematics in realistic situations, and explore scientific concepts. Our parents, teachers, and community members work together to set demanding academic standards and encourage creative artistic expression in every student.

 

At Cordova Elementary Optional School, we are dedicated to exceptional teaching and learning where:

Students:

  • Are focused on learning;
  • Feel a sense of community where me turns to we, and students use positive peer interaction to encourage academic achievement;
  • Are global, independent and accountable learners, responsible for their own growth and achievement; and
  • Are actively engaged in scholarly activities, independent study and community involvement.

 

Teachers:

  • Work collaboratively to share and implement a variety of effective instructional strategies;
  • Utilize innovative technology to enhance learning;
  • Foster a cultivating environment in each classroom; and
  • Analyze student performance data frequently to meet the individual needs of each child.

MISSION DE LA ESCUELA

La mission de la Escuela Cordova Elemental es proveer o tener un ambiente y un desafio seguro este es el comite para ayudar a todos nuestros estudiantes para un desafio exitoso en su maximo potencial.
El estudiante se comunicara con excelente lectura, aplicara matematicas en reales situaciones, y explorara conceptos cientificos. Nuestros padres, profesoras, y miembros de la comunidad trabajan juntos para poner los normales patrones academicos en demanda y animar la expresion artistica creativa de cada estudiante.

 

VISION DE LA ESCUELA

 

La vision de la Escuela Cordova Elemental es ofrecer a todos nuestros niños(a) un programa basado por encima de las necesidades para prepararlos exitosamente en la sociedad de hoy. Nuestra escuela tendra siempre retos, un ambiente nutritivo y de recompensa con altas expectaciones y datos manejados en actividades instrucionales que son significativas,revelantes, y inclusivas. Todos en general aceptaremos la responsabilidad de proveer un clima donde cada uno tendra el reto de aprender. Nosotros continuaremos creando un dialogo entre casa, escuela y la comunidad para enseñar y reinforzar las habilidades necesarias para que los estudiantes tomen decisiones apropiadas. Los estudiantes de la Escuela Cordova Elemental seran equipados con las habilidades y la competencia que necesiten para encontrar prospectivos retos en el cambio tecnologico mundial.

Para cumplir nuestra vision, el personal docente de la Escuela Cordova Elemental sostiene las siguientes creencias,expectativas y actitudes:

  • Los funcionamientos amplios del individuo y de la escuela en pruebas de las expectativas son una medida apropiada de exito.
  • Se espera de todos los estudiantes que alcancen altos resultados en dichas pruebas.
  • El personal docente está comprometido en realizar altos resultados para  todos los estudiantes; los maestros de Cordova pueden exitosamente  instruir a todos los estudiantes, asegurandoles altos logros.
  • Las normas de alto rendimiento y calidad desarrolladas por el personal docente promueve logros y contrarrestan la apatía, las actitudes y practicas negativas de bajo rendimiento.

La facultad y el personal de la escuela Cordova Elemental creemos que:

  • Todos los estudiantes lograran el exito en colaboracion de padres, comunidad y la escuela.
  • Todos los goles y necesidades del estudiante tienen que ser el foco primordial para todas las polizas y procedimientos compartidos en hacer parte de la decision.
  • Todos los estudiantes aprenderan en un ambiente bien seguro, estimulante, y nutriente.
  • Todos los estudiantes deben tener altas expectativas y mantener arriba los standards del estado y locales de la escuela.
  • Todos los estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de desarrollar sus fuertes talentos hasta su maximo potencial.
  • Todos los estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de realzar o aumentar sus experiencias de aprendizaje atravez del uso de la tecnologia y el arte.
  • Todos los estudiantes tendran soporte con diversas practicas instrucionales de investigacion con un desafio que promueve la realizacion y logro academico.
  • Todos los estudiantes recibiran una continua variedad de valoraciones para evaluar sus niveles de progreso basadas en los diferentes estilos de aprendizaje.
  • Todos los estudiantes se ajustaran en una diversidad de valoraciones para evaluar, medir sus niveles de aprendizaje y la guia de instruccion en el salon de classes.
  • Todos los estudiantes deben y se espera que apliquen todas sus habilidades de aprendizaje en situaciones de la vida real.
