  • Two pencils (if mechanical pencils are chosen, provide sufficient graphite to last the day)

  • One pen with blue ink

  • Plain, single-color composition book (for journaling and classwork)

  • One blue folder with prongs (not a binder).  I suggest a plastic folder.

  • Loose-leaf paper

Biography:

I was born and raised in Normal, Illinois.  My mother was a professor of Nursing and my father managed retirement benefits for employees of Illinois State University.  Before moving to Memphis, I lived in South Korea for one year and Poland for three, teaching English as a foreign language.  I taught ESL for four years before making the switch to Social Studies.  My hobbies include running and chess.
