PLC Coach/Title I Facilitator

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!!!!  My name is Comeshia Williams and this is my 19th year at Northaven.  I have served Northaven as a first and fourth grade teacher and the Professional Learning Communities Coach and Title I Facilitator.  The Title I PLC Coach is a dual role as I work alongside teachers supporting classroom instruction and assure the school complies with all Title I laws and requirements.  We will work together to increase the quality and effectiveness of what is done daily to improve student learning.  You will see those results in the skills and strategies that your child uses as he/she learns to live and participate in our democratic way of life.

Studies show that the more parents are involved in the education of their children, the more academically successful they will be.  In this position, I will work closely with you as we provide school-based parent involvement information, training, and resources.  I look forward to you joining me in this process.  You will receive notices and information throughout the school year to keep you informed about the progress of your child.  I will also update you on the status of our school in making progress toward helping all of our children meet academic standards.  I also look forward to your attendance at school meetings and activities.  I will share more about these opportunities at a later time.  We will enter into conversations surrounding development, revision, and implementation of our school-wide Title I Program.  I look forward to your input and feedback on the programs we offer and ways we support your child(ren).

I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children.  Together we will accomplish this by setting high academic expectations for all students, participating in opportunities to learn together, and making every decision based on the best interest of student.  In other words, we will be a team and work as a team! You are an important partner in our efforts to provide the best education possible for your child.

Remember, at Northaven we are STINGERS!

Sharing, Tolerant, Intelligent, Nurturing, Generous, Eager, Ready, Students!!!!!

Yours in Education,

Comeshia Williams, Ed. S.
