The mission of Robert R. Church Elementary School is to provide a high quality education for all students through effective teaching and a rigorous curriculum.  Our school will provide a safe and nurturing learning environment where all children will reach their maximum potential, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.

SCS CORE BELIEFS

The faculty, staff, administrators, parents, students, and community stakeholders of Robert R. Church Elementary School believe that:

• All students can learn at high levels.
• All children should be taught in a developmentally appropriate and supportive manner.
• Our school environment must be a place where students and teachers feel safe and always expect a high level of achievement.
• Students should be given appropriate opportunities for experiencing success.
• Teaching strategies should display a variety of activities that will accommodate different learning styles and individual student exceptionalities.
• Teachers should use assessment data to determine instruction.
• Decision-making is a process that involves administrators, faculty, staff, parents, students, and community members.
• The local school, district, and state polices must be adhered to at all times.
