PRINCIPAL  -  CHARLES E. GROVE

"Nine tenths of education is encouragement."
                                        Anatole France

Welcome to the Sheffield Career & Technology Center (SCTC) website.  SCTC serves roughly 250 tenth through twelfth graders across eight programs from eight feeder schools in the Southeast Region of Shelby County Schools.

The administration and faculty of SCTC are dedicated and committed to creating a learning environment that stimulates and motivates our students to achieve lifelong career skills.  We align ideas and practices that will enhance our teaching efforts to guide our students to a higher level of learning.  SCTC's ultimate goal is to provide our students with the knowledge and skills that will allow them the opportunity to make viable 21st century career choices through postsecondary education and/or the workforce in a very competitive global economy.  We strive to increase student achievement by maximizing students’ time on task as they engage in a rigorous and relevant curriculum.  Our goal is to build and maintain positive relationships with our students and their parents, which is very essential to student achievement.

Respectfully,
