The State Board of education has recently implemented a new policy change which require that every athlete entering the 7th and 9th grade receive a complete well child checkup (also known as an EPSDT screen) prior to participation in sports. This change is effective for the 2008-2009 school year. These forms may be found at http://health.state.tn.us/sportsphysical Athletic teams at Houston High School strive to be on top, while maintaining a high-level of sportsmanship and dignity.
