COMMUNICATIONS/MEDIA I IA251 Grades 10, 11, 12
This course is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of and competencies relating to potential careers within the clusters of drafting and design, photography and reproduction graphics. This course will also provide practical applications related to the technical aspects of communications. In addition, leadership skills will prepare the student for the sense of ethical standards, accountability and team effort essential to careers in technology.
PREREQUISITES-None Credit 1

COMMUNICATIONS/MEDIA II IA351 Grades 11, 12
The practical applications of language arts, reading, math, and science are realized by using multi-media techniques in the areas of construction, architectural, mechanical and design engineering graphics. This self-directed learning method allows student to select a variety of topics, such as commercial art design, model building, promotional video presentations, advanced CADD and plotter applications, etc. This course is ideal for anyone interested in post secondary courses in media, engineering and related subjects.
PREREQUISITES-Communications/Media I Credit 1

EXPLORING TECHNOLOGY I: A MODULAR APPROACH IA121 Grades 9, 10
Exploring Technology I is a comprehensive program that introduces students to technology. This course has been designed to include instruction that reflects current changes in the field of industry and technology. Instruction will include lab experiences to enhance understanding of production systems, manufacturing, robotics, power, energy and transportation. Industrial materials, such as woods, metals, and plastics, will be experimented with, examined for unique physical properties and utilized in mass-production.
PREREQUISITES-None Credit 1
