FALL

  • Be aware of deadlines.
  • Give completed Curriculum Vitae to Ms. Birge by September 16.
  • Visit with college representatives.
  • Determine colleges to which you will apply. (October/November)
  • Complete NCAA Clearinghouse form and mail transcript. (October)
  • Complete Transcript Request Card (in Guidance Office).  Attach School/Counselor Report if one is included with the application*.
  • Ask teachers for recommendations if necessary. (No later than December 1)
  • Write essays for applications.
  • Mail applications.
  • Search for scholarships in the College Office file or on web sites.
  • Give 7th Semester Reports to Mrs. Wynn. (December 15)

SPRING

  • Apply for financial aid by submitting FAFSA, available in November in the College Office. (after January 1)
  • MAY 1 - notification date for college admission.  Acceptance must have May 1 postmark unless otherwise stated.
  • Notify Guidance by May 15 regarding where to send your Final Transcript.

*The application and transcript materials (including School/Counselor Report) are mailed separately.  The student sends his/her application with the application fee.  The school sends the transcript materials.  Whichever reaches the institution first, opens a file at that school for the applicant.  The application and fee must reach the college by the deadline, and it is incumbent upon the student to observe this requirement.

PowerSchool

9th grade forms for students participating in sports on athletics page

Talent Show will be held Saturday, August 23, 2008 in the auditorium – times TBA.

Open House will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.

School Pictures will be taken on Monday, September 15, 2008 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd periods.

HHS Senior/College Night will be Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.
