MSCS Tutoring Program

Memphis-Shelby County Schools is targeting high performing students with the unique task of supporting our elementary and middle school students through the MSCS Tutoring Program. Students will have the opportunity to work with Peer Power mentos and serve as tutors and mentors for Elementary and Middle school students. Through Peer Power, interns will also receive a mentor, free ACT Prep, career, and job readiness training, as well as accountability from their Peer Power College Lead.

Selected students will:

  • Students will have the opportunity to work in the MSCS Tutoring Program with Peer Power and serve as tutors and mentors for Elementary and Middle School students.
  • Be compensated $15 per hour for 5 hours per week + 1 Saturday per month and a work-based learning credit.
  • Receive detailed information regarding orientation/training, program dates and work location.
