Our favorite winter giving tradition is back for the fifth year. Operation Warm Hearts will take place Tuesday, December 3, from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. in front of the Board of Education. Once again, this year’s event is being held in connection with the national Giving Tuesday initiative and the 901's #GiveMemphis campaign.

We are collecting new coats and outerwear to support our students in need this winter. Having adequate winter clothing can be the difference in a child coming to school or not, so we’re asking the community to help spread warmth to the students who need it most.

Last year, our donations totaled over $18,000, including hundreds of coats, hundreds of other winter clothing items and over $6,000 in monetary donations to purchase more items. This year, we’re hoping to support even more students!

Here are the items we are collecting for students:

  • NEW Coats
  • NEW Jackets & Outerwear
  • NEW Hats, Gloves & Scarves
