RTI2 SOAR Cycle #3 Mid-Cycle Progress Reports

As the Progress Monitoring and Intervention Plan Updates data reports were being pulled, it was found that the EdPlan Reactivation Script that ran during Spring Break had skewed the data. To allow our RTI2 Team adequate time to ensure accurate reporting for mid-cycle reporting purposes, the Mid-Cycle Report will now be available to ILDs on March 30 and to Leads and Principals on April 1.

In addition, the corrected bi-weekly Progress Monitoring Report for February 28 - March 11 will be resent with the Mid-Cycle Report.

The following indicators will be included in the Mid-Cycle Progress Report:

  • Progress Monitoring
  • Data Team: February Documentation and DLD Attendance
  • EdPlan Intervention Plan Updates

The attached announcement was sent to all RTI2 Leads on Wednesday, March 23

Please reach out to your RTI2 Advisor, rti2@scsk12.org, or Dr. Amy Maples with any additional questions.

Implementing Blended Learning for Station Rotation Model

Thank you for being so supportive in allowing your teacher team to attend the Implementing Blended Learning Station Rotation session after Spring Break. As a result of the PD, we hope your teachers returned with a clearer understanding of station rotation and how they can support teachers with implementation. As agreed, your teacher team will redeliver the content to your teachers during the week of March 28 - April 1. We are aware due to upcoming testing that teachers are engaged with supporting their students in these final weeks. To that end, teachers are encouraged to engage in station rotation as safe practice beginning April 4. Central Office will not conduct observations of implementation during that time. We will start the monitoring after all testing has been completed. Your teacher team has been prepped with the session's presentation, facilitation guide, and materials. Someone from the District office will join your school's redelivery to provide support assisting with responding to questions and capturing teacher questions. The purpose is to capture data to inform, in real-time, follow-up supports.

We appreciate all you do. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Executive Director Tracie Scott.

  • Educators who received an LOE score of 1 or 2 for SY2020-21 or nullified and their 2018-19 was a 1 or 2 will be placed on the Focus track.  Please note: 2 plans will be visible in PLZ: 1 archived (old plan) and 1 new (focus plan).

Virtual ACT Family Night

We will be hosting our next ACT Family Night on April 7, at 5:30 p.m. on TEAMS. This session will be targeted toward our underclassmen and their families. Register here

Our students and families must know that the ACT is about more than just getting into college. The state of Tennessee awards the status of Ready Graduate to any student who completes the ACT with a composite score of 21. This means our state believes that a student scoring a 21 is prepared to tackle the challenges of the world after high school, whether they choose to enter college, technical school, or the workplace. This work is so important to our state that students with the Ready Graduate status are part of our district report card, reflecting our success in helping students bridge the gap from the classroom to the post-secondary world.

As a continued effort to support students and families in learning more about the college readiness standards and benchmarks set forth by ACT, Inc., the District continues to offer ACT Family Nights in partnership with ACT, Inc. During this session, families will learn about the structure of the test, resources available to prepare for the test, test dates, and information about how to register for the test. We will also share information about how test scores are used in college admission and obtaining scholarships. These sessions are generally targeted at families of students in grades 7-12, but this session will focus on underclassmen who may begin their experience with ACT this Spring or during the Summer. Families who participate receive preparation materials and can participate to win gifts cards for ACT Registration or ACT Score Analysis Reports.
