Language Line-Language Assistance for Multilingual Families

We are happy to announce that we have successfully obtained a master contract with Languageline Solutions to assist with providing interpretation services throughout the district at our Title I schools. Below you will find the criteria by which the service should be used. Here is the link to document your usage of the platform. We hope that this service assists you in your endeavors to provide pertinent information to our multilingual families across the district. 

Additionally, there will be training in July that will be announced later.

When to use the service:

  • For meetings (e.g., Parent/Teacher Conferences, Data Nights, etc.) that need interpretation for 30 minutes or less
  • For impromptu situations and phone calls where interpretation assistance is needed
  • Registration assistance

Information Regarding the Principal Transition Event

The Office of School Operations supports the major district function of school leadership effectiveness by facilitating the district-wide Principal Transition Process. School Operations assists school leaders with the transition from current positions to new schools within the district or new opportunities outside the District. Any school leader impacted by the changes should have received an invite with their specific appointment time. For your convenience, the details of the principal transition process are provided below.

2021-2022 Principal Transition Process Information

  • Date: June 6-10
  • Time: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Location: East T-Stem building (The Memphis Room)

Guidance for Summer Hours of Operation

As we continue to provide excellent servant leadership to our community during the summer, we wanted to offer some guidance for summer hours of operation.   

Please see the following recommendations. School leaders should post-summer office coverage hours be visible at entrances.   

  • Include the times when the office will be unavailable (e.g., lunch).
  • Include a contact number and email address for visitors to be able to leave a message and receive a response.
  • Forward the school’s main line to the posted contact number if the main office is not covered.

Additionally, it is recommended that Leaders send a robocall informing parents of this information.    

We hope these service tips help our schools continue to provide good customer service. We have also provided a template that you can use to post this information at the entrances.
