The Academy will be held July 26-27 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and Westwood High School. Attendees will receive information and training around 504 implementations, the centralized withdrawal process, discipline, SEL including ReThink, truancy, RTI2-B, and mental health services. This two-day training is required for new administrators, assistant principals, and principals who could not attend the Academics Operations Institute in June. Counselors and behavioral specialists are encouraged to attend.

The ESL Department is providing training for teachers to learn more about the ELLevation platform- the database for all English learner information (including their ILP), and ELLevation Instructional Strategies- the program that leverages specialized activities to assist English learners achieve linguistic proficiency and improve academically.

Student Equity Enrollment & Discipline (SEED) is hosting a mandatory in-service for all school-based 10.5 and 12-month clerical support staff on Thursday, July 28, at Kate Bond Middle from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. The Early Literacy Department looks forward to next week's 2022 SEA Summer Learning Intensive! We have planned a full week of in-person, virtual, and asynchronous professional learning sessions.
Here's an overview of next week's SEAs Summer Learning Intensive on July 18-22.
SEAs will engage in professional learning for the entire week. Each SEA will be assigned to Group A, or Group B. SEAs will report to Hamilton High School for two days of in-person sessions on the days assigned to their group. For the other three days, SEAs will report directly to their base school to engage in virtual and asynchronous sessions. The reporting time is the same whether SEAs report to Hamilton High School or their base school--8:00 AM-3:30 PM.

Asset Management will implement a new, fully integrated inventory system in the coming months. This system will allow us to streamline the inventory process, enhance internal communication across multiple departments, and improve support.
Please provide the name(s) of the designee(s) responsible for the equipment inventory at your site. Each principal may appoint a maximum of three (3) Asset Inventory Designees to the inventory management system. We strongly recommend that you designate staff familiar with equipment inventory, especially the 1:1 student devices.
