The Tennessee Code Annotated has been revised to include Threats of Mass Shootings as Zero Tolerance Category (A) Offenses that will now mandated 180 days of suspension at the school level. Please ensure that you satisfy your RTI2-B Tier 1 expectations by communicating this change in law to your student and parent populations. We want to ensure that students are aware of the disciplinary responses connected to Threats of Mass Shootings that are connected to the school environment.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Dr. Blocker by emailing BLOCKERJ@scsk12.org.
The Year-End Process (YEP) rollover is scheduled to take place soon. To facilitate this process, please verify that all of your Optional students are projected to the appropriate school no later than Thursday, July 6.
- For students who have been approved to attend your school, please verify that your school is the school selected as the Next School Indicator (under the link Schedule Set Up).
- For students who did not meet the requirements and were not approved, please verify that the zoned school is selected as the Next School Indicator.
- You can pull a list of your approved and not approved dispositions from Enterprise Reports, copy those student numbers and paste them into the Multi-Select for student search. From there, you can scroll student by student verifying their information on the Schedule Set Up page.

Reminder: July 7, 2023
According to the 12-month hourly work schedule, SEAs are expected to work July 3, 2023. Virtual professional learning assignments have been planned for SEAs who do not take a vacation day on July 3, 2023.
NOTE: If an SEA takes a vacation day, the SEA is NOT REQUIRED to complete the VIRTUAL professional learning experiences.
SEAs do not have to report to schools. Instead, SEAs will be required to complete 6 hours of professional learning that includes self-paced, asynchronous professional learning assignments and a Bridge to Practice exercise. All hours can be completed remotely, provided that SEAs have access to a device and the Internet.
If an SEA does not have access to Internet, Wi-Fi, or Hotspot, the SEA can report to the Early Literacy Office at Hamiton High School on July 3, 2023 @ 8:30AM-3:30PM. To ensure accommodations for SEAs reporting to Hamilton High School, each SEA must sign up here: https://forms.office.com/r/QFxBYgAqGt
SEAs must bring their own devices and present their MSCS ID upon entry.
Professional learning assignments must be completed by 3:30PM on July 3, 2023. No late or emailed assignments will be accepted. The articles for the professional learning assignments are attached and embedded in the Bridge to Practice exercise.

Announcements:
Dashboard Rollover has started and is scheduled to be completed July 31st.
As we prepare updates for the new school year, some reports will be temporarily unavailable or will have data refreshes paused (only showing updates as of 6/9). All reports will be available again and will be refreshing normally by the start of school.
New user access will also be paused at this time. For any new users or staff changing building locations- once rollover is complete, access will be updated prior to the start of school. For more information, contact us at DAIMSUPPORT@scsk12.org
School Improvement Plans – because access updates are paused, anyone who needs access to a new school (and already has PowerBI access) will still be able to see data in School Profile. This should help with the completion of SIPs. For more information see this user guide.
BrightBytes will no longer be available for the 23-24 school year. If you have any questions, reach out to the SEED team for more information at 416-6007.

The state has posted a number of TCAP reports on the PearsonAccess site under the “Published Reports” section that can be accessed by principals and Building Testing Coordinators. These reports only include regular TCAP scores and not the TCAP alternate test results that will also be included in accountability calculations. In addition, other accountability rules have not been applied to the summary reports (e.g., Students are required to be enrolled at the school for 50% of the year or more to count toward the accountability achievement indicator). We will receive files from the state with accountability rules applied later in the summer. These reports are still embargoed and should not be shared with anyone outside of the district.
If you have forgotten your password, there is a forgot password function at the site. If you are a new principal at a school and cannot access your new school, please reach out to us (assessment@scsk12.org), and we will connect your account to the correct school.
Make sure the correct test and year are showing at the top of the page in PearsonAccess. If you do not see any reports, you may have the wrong test selected at the top of the page after you log in (e.g. EOC instead of grades 2-8).
