This is a friendly reminder to begin the renewal process for any administrative license that is set to expire on August 31, 2025. Starting early will help ensure a smooth transition into the new school year without any disruptions.

License Expiration Date: August 31, 2025
To avoid any last-minute stress or interruptions, we encourage you to begin the renewal process early.

Action Steps:

Verify your license status through the TNCompass.

Gather all required documentation in accordance with the renewal guidelines (TASL Link).

Submit your renewal application promptly to avoid delays or last-minute issues.

 Attached: A step-by-step guide is attached to assist you with uploading your TASL credits and Tennessee Literacy Success Act here: Tennessee Literacy Success Act, if applicable.

By August 1, 2023, all current teachers in Tennessee with a TLSA qualifying endorsement (listed here) must complete a foundational literacy skills training. To satisfy this requirement, educators can complete Course 1 of either the Early Reading Training or Secondary Literacy Training. 

Deadline: Please have all renewals submitted on or before June 30, 2025. All licenses must be in active and renewed prior to the start of the 25/26 SY (July 28, 2025).

Starting January 1, TNCompass begins emailing reminders on the first of every month to individuals with licenses expiring on August 31. These notifications are sent to the email address associated with your TNCompass account.

To ensure you receive these important updates, the Licensure and Compliance Department encourages all educators and administrators to verify that they can access the email linked to their TNCompass profile.
