MSCS Compass Updates and New Releases

During the summer, we will begin our rollover process for the start of the 25-26 school year.

As a result, dashboards will temporarily stop refreshing on June 30th and will resume in August. This means that the data will not change or update after this date.

New users and employees with new school assignments during that time will not have access until rollover is complete.

Once rollover is complete, some users may lose access if it was granted via a direct request to the DAIM team or through the MSCS Compass Access App. This is to ensure data security and remove any inactive staff members. Principals can add those people back if they should still have access.

New Releases:

The Grades 3 and 4 Promotional Pathways Report was made available on May 28th in the MSCS Compass: Literacy Commitment Dashboard.

  • This report provides school leaders with data related to tracking the promotional status of students who are in grades 3 and 4 according to Tennessee state law TCA 49 6 3115 and board policy 5013.
  • For grade 3 students, you can see appeals data (ground applied for, the decision and eligibility for Ground 1). For grade 4 students, you can see if parent conference information (if they are required and the decision).
  • The data will be refreshed daily at 6:00 AM. Elementary school administrators have access to this report. See the user guide here.

Note: 24-25 TCAP data in the SLA and Literacy Commitment dashboards is embargoed and should not be shared publicly. It should only be used for parent communication regarding promotional decisions.
